Christianity is simply living by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. We are to believe in, and live in, Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life. We have faith in God when we believe His Word; we trust and obey God when we keep His commandments; and we love God when we love His law.
To make it to the kingdom we must live a great life here and now. The way so is to emulate the life of the Jesus. Jesus has given us a guarantee when we live through the power of the Holy Spirit. When facing challenges and test of our character our first though should be What Did Jesus Do? Jesus lived a perfect life filled with challenges each day. That’s one of the reasons His prayer life was so robust. Christ is our Pattern, the perfect and holy example that has been given us to follow. We can never equal the Pattern; but we may imitate and resemble it according to our ability.
A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24).
Jesus is our friend, His heart is ever open, ever touched with human woe; He has all power, both in heaven and upon earth. Christ came to this world to show that by receiving power from on high, we can live a faultless life.
He passed by no human being as worthless but sought to apply the healing remedy to every soul. He sought to inspire with hope the roughest and most unpromising, setting before them the assurance that they might become blameless and harmless, attaining such a character as would make them obvious as the children of God.
Often, He met those who had drifted under Satan's control, and who had no power to break from his snare. To such a one, discouraged, sick, tempted, fallen, Jesus would speak words of tenderest pity, words that were needed and could be understood. Others He met who were fighting a hand-to-hand battle with the enemy of souls. These He encouraged to persevere, assuring them that they would win; for angels of God were on their side and would give them the victory.
Men hate the sinner, while they love the sin. Christ hates the sin with a perfect hate but loves the sinner. Christian love is slow to criticism, quick to discern repentance, ready to forgive, to encourage, to set the wanderer in the path of holiness. (The Desire of Ages, 462.)
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 2:5)

A false witness will not go unpunished, And he who speaks lies will not escape.
(Proverbs 19:5)
Therefore, let us get past the elementary stage in the teachings about the Christ, advancing on to maturity and perfection and spiritual completeness.
Hebrews 6:1 (AMP)
Jesus is our ultimate model of spiritual maturity. He is Divinity clothe in humanity. It should be our goal to emulate Him in word, deed, and thought, and by doing so, take on the characteristics of God.
“When we think like Jesus, we know the way. When we think like Jesus, we can wait and watch in peace. When we think like Jesus, we are committed to introducing others to Him. When we think like Jesus, we have faith in His promise to save us. When we think like Jesus, we have faith in His promise to change us into His likeness. When we think like Jesus, we can rest in His promise to return.

If thou draw out thy soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day. Isaiah 58:10.
All around us are heard the wails of a world's sorrow. On every hand are the needy and distressed. It is ours to aid in relieving and softening life's hardships and misery.
Practical work will have far more effect than mere sermonizing. We are to give food to the hungry, clothing to the naked, and shelter to the homeless. And we are called to do more than this. The wants of the soul, only the love of Christ can satisfy. If Christ is abiding in us, our hearts will be full of divine sympathy. The sealed fountains of earnest, Christlike love will be unsealed.
Reflecting Christ
He died for all, that those who live might live no longer for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. 2 Corinthians 5:15, R.S.V.
Those who take up their appointed work will not only be a blessing to others, but they will themselves be blessed. The awareness of duty well done will have a reflex influence upon their own souls. The despondent will forget their despondency, the weak will become strong, the ignorant intelligent, and all will find an unfailing helper in Him who has called them.

"Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 2:5).
The disciples were instructed to bear witness to Christ “‘to the end of the earth’” (Acts 1:8, NKJV), a work that would herald the return of Christ (Matt. 24:14). We are to continue what they started. When Christ told us to carry the gospel to the world, He did not leave us alone to figure out how it might happen. The work is directed from heaven’s sanctuary. Our work is intimately wrapped up in Christ: He guides and empowers us. This is His work, not ours: we are asked to follow His lead. The Spirit is already at work in the hearts of our neighbors; we are asked to be there when the moment of decision arrives so that we can invite them to join God’s people as they stand with the Lamb on Zion. We do not have to invent new means and methods.
Christ’s method alone will give true success in reaching others.
The Saviour mingled with men as one who desired their good.
Ministered to their needs and won their confidence.
Then He welcomed them to, ‘Follow Me.’”
“Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! (Isaiah 5:20)
Our Savior is the Source of light, but don’t forget that He shines into the world through us. God’s blessings come from human hands. Jesus Himself came to our world as the Son of man. Angels are waiting to spread heaven’s light and power through us to those in danger of being lost. Shine where you are. Not all of us are born to preach. But we are all called to share our faith. As individuals and as a church, we must faithfully spread the message given to us. The simplest and most effective witness we have is our own lives.
Smile and say, “good day,” make sure you neighbor has the basic necessities for life. There is no way that we are the richest country on earth and have people who are hungry homeless and lonely.

“You who boast in the law, do you dishonor God through breaking the law? As it is written, the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”
Romans 2:23-24 MEV
All who join themselves to the church but not to the Lord will in time develop their true character.
“You will know them by their fruits.” Matthew 7:16. The precious fruit of godliness, temperance, patience, kindness, love, and charity, does not appear in their lives. God is dishonored before the world by all such professors.... They are, Satan knows, his best working agents while they are unchanged in heart and life, and their works are in such marked contrast to their profession that they are a stumbling block to unbelievers and a great test to believers.
A true disciple of Christ will seek to imitate the Pattern. His love will lead to perfect obedience. He will study to do the will of God on earth, as it is done in heaven.
The fruits of the Spirit, ruling in the heart and controlling the life, are love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, insides of mercies, and humbleness of mind. True believers walk after the Spirit, and the Spirit of God dwells in them.

A false witness will not go unpunished, And he who speaks lies will not escape.
(Proverbs 19:5)
Who can trust a liar or one who embellishes? I was taught long ago that if you lie, you’ll cheat and if you cheat, you’ll steal. No one can trust you and we have so many incredible examples of this these days. The enemy has everyone wondering what truth is.
I am commanded to warn all who make untruthful statements that they are serving him who has been a liar from the beginning. Let us be on our guard against untruthfulness, which grows upon him who practices it. I say to all, “Make your belt.... Put away all deception and exaggeration; never make a false statement.
Body language. By a glance of the eye, a motion of the hand, an expression of the face, a falsehood may be told as successfully as by words. All intentional overstatement, every hint or insinuation calculated to convey an erroneous or exaggerated impression, even the statement of facts in such a manner as to mislead, is falsehood.
There should be a continual effort to imitate the society we expect soon to join; namely, angels of God who have never fallen by sin. The character should be holy, the manners alluring, the words without guile, and thus we should follow on step by step until we are fitted for translation.20Testimonies for the Church 1:216.

And he said unto me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Our precious Saviour and friend has invited us to join Him and unite our weakness with His strength, our ignorance with His wisdom, our unworthiness with His merit.
“There must be a new birth, a new mind through the operation of the Spirit of God, which purifies the life and ennobles the character. This connection with God fits man for the glorious kingdom of heaven. There must be a power working from within, a new life from above, before men can be changed from sin to holiness. That power is Christ. His grace alone can quicken the lifeless faculties of the soul, and attract it to God, to holiness.”
(Signs January 11, 1877).
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:1-2 NKJV).
How does one transform the mind? By changing the way you think!
