Sealing is courage, fortitude, faith, and absolute trust in God's power to save. By a life of holy work and living by His commands the children of God are sealing their destiny. The Sealing work is taking place now. When the Lord returns He's bringing His reward with Him. (Revelation 22:12)

And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”
(Act 1:10-11)
We cannot know the exact time of Jesus’ return, so we must watch and wait. But there is much to be done as we wait. We can purify our souls by obeying Jesus’ teachings. We can cooperate with angels in reaching out to others with the good news about Jesus. Like Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Moses in their times, we have a special warning for our generation.
The signs of the end are all around us and are frightening. As God’s Spirit withdraws from the world, tragedy after tragedy occurs in every land. Earthquakes, fires, floods, crimes, and murder touch every family. Who can feel secure about the future? The end-time crisis is creeping up on us gradually. The sun rises and shines each day, people build houses, and eat and drink. Merchants buy and sell as people struggle to get more money and more power. People search for pleasure and amusement at theaters, sporting events, casinos, and on the internet. But in the middle of all this excitement, the close of probation is rapidly approaching. Every person’s eternal fate will soon be decided. Satan is working overtime to keep us deceived, amused, and busy until the door of heaven is closed forever. “‘So be ready all the time. Pray that you will be strong enough to escape all these things that will happen and that you will be able to stand before the Son of Man’” (Messiah, pp 340).
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. Revelation 22:11.
When the work of the investigative judgment closes, the destiny of all will have been decided for life or death. Probation ends a short time before the appearance of the Lord in the clouds of heaven.
Scoffers pointed to the things of nature—to the unvarying succession of the seasons, to the blue skies that had never poured out rain, to the green fields refreshed by the soft dews of night—and they cried out: “Doth he not speak parables?” In contempt they declared the preacher of righteousness to be a wild fanatic; and they went on, more eager in their pursuit of pleasure, more intent upon their evil ways, than before. But their unbelief did not hinder the predicted event.
Christ declares that there will exist similar unbelief concerning His second coming. As the people of Noah’s day “knew not until the flood came and took them all away; so,” in the words of our Saviour, “shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:39. When the professed people of God are uniting with the world, living as they live, and joining with them in forbidden pleasures; when the luxury of the world becomes the luxury of the church; when the marriage bells are chiming, and all are looking forward to many years of worldly prosperity—then, suddenly as the lightning flashes from the heavens, will come the end of their bright visions and delusive hopes.
The events connected with the close of probation and the work of preparation for the time of trouble, are clearly presented. But multitudes have no more understanding of these important truths than if they had never been revealed. Satan watches to catch away every impression that would make them wise unto salvation, and the time of trouble will find them unready.
(The Great Controversy, 594).
